Bluequip: a joint venture between Blue Workx and Trequip

Blue Workx has been active since 2014 in the production of transport and storage solutions for the (concrete) precast industry since 2014. Fred Driessen, director of Blue Workx, as former owner of Driessen Speciaaltransport, has gained many years of experience in the transport of precast concrete and was closely involved in the development of Bluequip's new V-Frame loader.

Trequip has been operating as a specialist in vehicle technology since 2019. However, behind the young company lies years of knowledge and experience in the field of trailer and machine construction. Trequip has a unique combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience. This results in efficient, safe and maintenance-friendly designs.

This unique combination of knowledge and strengths has resulted in a semi-trailer that can be considered groundbreaking in the (concrete) precast industry. State-of-the-art techniques have been applied in terms of materials and structural design.

The new V-Frame loader

Deadweight ± 4 tonnes lighter than the alternative: the inloader. In addition, the ingenious design achieved optimal axle loads for both 4x2 tractor heads and 6x2 tractor heads. Due to the indivisibility of the concrete walls, this often means 3 instead of 2 walls per load or 2 instead of 1 wall.

With a load floor height of only 280 mm, a load width of 1,240 mm and a length of 9,700 mm, the trailer is unique. Loading with overhang is no problem.

With the help of some simple accessories, the trailer can be loaded in 3 different ways:
- High walls between the axles, Max length ± 10.0m
- Long walls over the gooseneck, max length ± 14.0m
- Extremely high walls up to 4.5m are loaded diagonally between the axles

In this way, a wall with a height of 4.05m can be transported without height permits. In the UK, larger dimensions are possible due to different traffic laws than in the EU.

The use of a lift axle makes the V-Frame Loader very manoeuvrable. A Tyre-Pressure-Refill-System (TPRS) ensures that the tyres always have the right pressure. This benefits the high operational safety and low diesel consumption.

The independent, air-suspended axles, combined with a low center of gravity of the load, ensure that the trailer has stable handling.

The V-Frame Loader is easy and safe to operate, load securing according to the applicable standards is no problem.

The V-Frame Loader is suitable for unaccompanied transport on ferries. Ferry eyes can be attached as an option.

Rico Schinck has spent his entire working life as the owner of steel construction companies. Since 2003, Rico Schinck has been supplying transport solutions, such as inloader flats, to Driessen Speciaaltransport, among others.

Fred Driessen has been with Blue Workx since its foundation in 2014. He also managed the family business Driessen Speciaaltransport until 2021. This haulier has gained many years of experience in the transport of (concrete) precast elements. Technical innovation has always been one of Fred Driessen's driving forces.

Trequip

Trequip is a specialist in providing specific solutions for the transport industry.

Trequip has a combination of theoretical knowledge, regulatory knowledge and practical experience. This enables Trequip to take over the entire process from design to approval of a vehicle. The designs are created using modern 3D design systems. In addition to trailer design, you can also contact Trequip for registration issues, exemptions, truck bodies, loading/unloading cranes, hydraulic and electrical systems.

Trequip is based in Ee, The Netherlands, and currently consists of 4 dedicated and experienced employees.

The management consists of Peter Hoekstra and Erik Haveman, a collaboration that started long before Trequip was founded.

Peter Hoekstra is a specialist in the field of hydraulics and control technology.

Erik Haveman is a specialist in 3D design and vehicle technology
